Dear Sue
I have been following your blog since last spring when you started your journey to East Anglia. We live in Bury st Edmunds,Suffolk and shared a boat in the Midlands at the time, thinking 'some day we'll have a boat...'. Well that day came a bit sooner than we thought and in August we bought a 57' narrowboat - disadvantage it was on a mooring in Newbury (K+A)!. April 3rd sees the beginning of the trip to bring her up to a new mooring at Popes Corner on the Great Ouse.It won't be as leasurely as yours - we only have 2 weeks. I know you had some problems with locks and you mentioned bridges today - any advice would be welcome. Great site.

WOW... two weeks from Kennet and Avon to River Great Ouse!!.. I don't think that is going to be possible you know.
I was talking to some boaters today who told me that Titchmarsh bridge on the River Nene has been made higher over the winter, so that one should be OK, but its Nordelf Bridge on the Middle Levels that is low.. I will look on the blog tomorrow to see if I recorded the air height of that. If you are leaving in April, then I guess you will pass us at some stage, let us know your progress.
