Fingers crossed for Lucy, I am sure she will bounce back soon. If you haven't already got one, try and track down a BioFlow collar with a magnet - it made a big difference to the mobility of both our dogs. Freya managed 7 years on three legs.

Arrggh - At least there wasnt barbed wire on the gate for her to snag her leg on.... that seems to be a common habit round here, but luckily there are no canals so the chances of Lucy meeting a gate like that are fairly small.
for the Tesco chap - I bet he didn't want to risk a drive to the middle of nowhere. Perhaps you should point him in the direction of this blog if you ever see him again? It should be required reading for any Tesco Delivery men in the vicinity of a canal
Best wishes for both of you today, Lucy especially, and everything crossed for severe bruising rather than anything more serious.

Poor Lucy - hope she is OK. It is the sot of thing my Border Terrier would do as he does everything on impulse. Read you Blog every day just about as we are selling up next year to go on a narrowboat. Can't wait.
