Hiya Sue & Vic
Glad to hear Lucy on the mend and your getting out and about again. Nice to see Tony too back on the boat and you enjoying his company . As for the Dove cot and ladder. The ladder was not to feed but to manage the cot stock of doves so that there was always a plentiful supply of fresh birds for meat and of course feathers for bedding etc. Big hug to Wens ref the pony, remember her showing me the pic of her riding it at that show you talked about. All well here.
Regards James

Hi Sue & Vic and of course Lucy
Re: the dovecot - it was also a very good supply of pigeon manure for the land..I had a go shovelling it out of a dovecot in France. Not the best job!
I have never posted a comment before but always read your blog with great interest. I was a loyal customer of your Highland Road shop - curtains, Ladybird clothing for the kids etc., in fact most old photographs of Jon & Alex show them in clothing from your bargain boxes!
Best wishes to Lucy and a very happy summer on the Cut

Hi Chrissie,
Thanks for your comment on the dovecott. Sounds like a smelly job in France!
Nice to hear from a customer.. hey remember the pyjama tops and bottoms then? I remember two customers 'fighting' over a pyjama bottom, each customer had one leg and was pulling and pulling it.. yes it split right up the middle.. with that they both let go, the discarded pyjama bottom went flying and the two ladies were 'heads down' back in the bin!
