Interesting point you make about the hospital treatment if you are a cc'er. Would private medical cover make a difference or would you still be waiting for the initial referral?
Hope Vic & Lucy continue to be OK and that the strain doesn't get to you.

Private Medical Insurance would make a huge difference. The referal time would have only been about 10 days. The guidelines on the NHS are to refer within 3 months, the girl on the phone was quite proud when I commented at such a long wait "Our guidelines are within 3 months and there are two days to spare in your case".. ok ok!! 
We can actually carry our medical records around with us Gillian, although I have not gone totally into that yet, but someone said to me that we would have to pay to have them 'written up' each time we visited a doctor.. The consultant at Oxford gave us a hard time yesterday, spending far more of the 10 minutes alloted time being annoyed that we travelled round the country.. I was equally annoyed that it should be an issue!
