Did you try mooring at the meadow upstream - last time we were there it was hopelessly shallow there. The field behind The Haycock is a bit of a scramble, but once someone has gotten a rope around a tree, the rest of the party can use it for support ! It's a lovely place to wake up in the morning. 
Yes I noticed.. but scrambling round a tree is not really my idea of a good mooring... I am sure it is a lovely place to wake up in the morning.. as long as you can get back to your boat the evening before from the pub?
