Did you have to make any special preparations for 'sitting on the sand' to protect your prop?
How's Lucy coping with all this heat and her bad hip?
Wish we were boating in this glorious weather - instead we've decorating to get done.
Regards
Gillian

Presumably, you run on to the sand bow-first until the boat stops or nearly: the stern doesn't then sink, it remains afloat - so no prop damage!

Hello Sue and Vic,
I just finished reading your blogs for the past two weeks and it sounds like you are having a very adventurous time. Although it does seem that the shallow waters of the past few days have been a bit of a challenge. We had a great trip to Williamsburg, Virginia and enjoyed seeing the colonial village. We also visited Jamestown which is the first colony in America. There's not much there, just the foundations of the old homes, but still interesting. We also saw two beautiful plantations, one which has been in the same family for 12 generations, since the 1700's. The doll convention was fun and it was nice to meet many of our customers who we only know from the internet. When we got back the business was so backed up that it has taken me over a week to start getting caught up. Sorry I haven't written sooner but there hasn't been a minute. Will try to write more frequently now that things are starting to settle down. It was good to hear that Lucy is out swimming, I'm sure this is great exercise for her leg/hip. Hope you are both well.
Best wishes,
Mark

Gillian and Martin,
No preparations Gillian.. Martin is right.. the bow went onto the sandbank stopping the forward motion.. in fact we actually slipped back.. great fun that was!
