Watching your blog with interest as we're heading your way sooner rather than later. So many "don't do its" about that we were nearly put off but your reports have given us new encouragement.
Thanks for the very down to earth and unique way you describe your travels AND the hints/suggestions for mooring, shopping and avoiding hard work - we like that.
Keep it up.

Hello Mo, You will not be disappointed. You will be very surprised as to the beauty of the rivers in East Anglia.. Rivers I say.. but they are more like thin lakes, there is NO FLOW.. most people worry about 'rivers' because of flow!
Prove them all wrong Mo and come join us!!

On our way.......... must clear Leicester and a birthday in 'Harboro and we'll be on our way.
Have we left it a bit late to join GOBA for this trip I wonder. And apart from the EA lock key any other essential purchases needed to get us down the Nene?
Comments about Brandon are useful, we've always liked the place as a stopover on the way by road so maybe we'll look on it a little differently now.
3G working OK out in the sticks?

Hello Mo, great stuff! And no not too late to join GOBA, it is well worth joining, a great bunch of people, plus of course you can use the GOBA moorings which is very handy
You need a windlass and sanitary key from the lock keeper as you go onto the middle levels.. the normal windlass wont fit the one and only lock that is not manned on the middle levels!!
Vic says that it is also needed for one of the locks on the Gt Ouse too..
3g is not that evident over here, but gprs is fine.
Look forward to seeing you sometime over the summer.
