Hello from Winnipeg, Canada. We follow your wonderful blog faithfully, checking in each day--missing it when you go a few days without an entry. You'll definitely have to get your camera fixed or replaced because your pictures are tremendous--getting better all the time! Good luck to Lucy at the Vets--and to Vic. 
My husband had his hip replaced two weeks ago, he got a new ball and socket and the surgeon made his leg 2cm longer too!! No cage for him!! He was up and about the next day and yesterday allowed to go up and down the stairs!
Hope you manage to sort out the vet to do what Lucy needs.
Sorry about your camera. St Neots looks like a nice place to wait out a storm.

Glad you enjoy the blog, although not much movement along the river at the moment.. ah.. ist just one of those things, life is life, and because I write a blog you get life as it happens!! WOW you hubby did well then!! Goodness I bet he feels a load better already.. my Dad had a 'replacement' knee, and now at well gone 80(sorry dad!) he still romps round the local golf course!
