We're just back from 4 weeks cruising and my admiration for you knows no bounds - how on earth do you find the time to do your blog so regularly? I set off with good intentions of writing up each day's log at the end of the day. Well, I managed to record the time we took and where we ended up each day plus a few cryptic notes about things we saw, etc. I will finish it and get it up on the web site soon (ish)!

I really don't know where the time went each day.

You were right and we had a good time at IWA and thoroughly enjoyed the Thames - so much so that instead of coming back up the GU, we turned round and re-did the Thames to Oxford.

Have just spent an hour catching up on your blog. Glad Lucy is improving and that Vic's legs are sorting themselves out (isn't Mother Nature great?) Sorry you've got boat problems.

Regards

Gillian

Gravatar Hello Friends,

Although the recent article in Canal Boat about the Kennett & Avon was disappointing as it didn't tell much about the canal only about a few incidents of the writer, I have been reading about the K&A from several other sources. This sounds like a most interesting canal, and I bet you are going to have a great winter traveling this unique canal. Can hardly wait to read your stories.

I have been sorry to hear about all of your mechanical and electrical problems. As I am someone who always tries to find the good in everything, I hope that getting all of these things sorted out in Ely will lead to a trouble free winter of cruising. It doesn't sound like there are many services on the K&A so getting these things fixed now is probably a good thing. I hope all is going well.

Better days ahead. Best wishes,

Mark

Gravatar Elsie,

I am sure you will not bore me to death, will be taking a look at your blog this evening.. well done for starting one too!!

Gillian,

So pleased you enjoyed the show, and hey, hey you sure did enjoy the Thames too.. well the rivers here in East Anglia do not flow as much as the Thames, so maybe you would enjoy that too!

As far as logging is concerned, the only log I have for No Problem is the blog itself!.. most times I find something to write! Many thanks for your good wishes both for Lucy and our boat, but this morning No Problem's engine is running and we are just about to take her for a run to check it all out..

Mark,

The K&A is a lovely canal, very different really from the rest of the canals, you will enjoy the pics I hope once we get down there.. have a good week next week Mark

Sue
