Hi Sue,
Yes, Sharlene won a few dolls at the auction in Monterey. She was particularly excited about a 14" Cinderella doll she won which was produced in the mid 50s. So far the collection has consumed one of the bedrooms and the study. I think that pretty soon she will have to sell some of her collection to make room for new dolls.
A year ago this week we were in Boston at a doll show and I did a Google search for narrowboats. This is how I found your blog, and have enjoyed corresponding with you and reading your postings during the past year. I look forward to reading all about your travels during the next year and wish you good health and happy days ahead.
Have a great day,
Mark

Hi Sue
Reading you blog today, seeing the unregistered boat...
do you get anoyed when you see unlicenced boats moored up, when you have to pay so much for your own licence ? I know I do !

Mark.. I don't think for one moment that Sharlene will sell any of them!
You will need to move house.. another bedroom is needed for all your friends. I really can't imagine how many dolls you both must have to fill two rooms, but I do enjoy reading all your comments . It is just so nice that here I read about some people in America who are keeping these lovely dolls from decades ago alive and preserved for future generations.. keep it up.
Rich,
No I don't get annoyed when I see unlicenced boats.. everyone to their own I suppose. One does not know the reasons why.. who am I to ask. BW will do the asking. Tis for them to decide who and how they can chuck the occupants on the towpath and remove the boat.

The refreshing outlook I was looking for Hopefully , when we retire to narrowboat living, we will chill out and it wont bother us either !
I am enjoying reading your blog - stumbled across it on google.
We are at bridge number 4 on the north oxford (Tusses Bridge) opposite the fishing tackle shop.
You've passed us this spring ! we're the ones with all the cars in the garden !
We'll give you a wave next time you pass, or come and say hello if you decide to moor up opposite.
Keep up the good blogging !

Rich, I know exactly where you are. I stop at that bridge everytime I pass it to get some bait from the tackle shop. Vic says he knows where you are.. he obviously has a look around while hovering No Problem waiting for me to pop into the shop! You sure will enjoy all this retirement stuff if you retire to a narrowboat Rich
