I spent some time hunting around for the point Andrew Denny had stood to take his original picture before wondering if he really had been mad enough to climb up the top of the bridge.
I too had to get an able assistant, Christine (mum), to hold the camera etc while I scrambled up. Not the easiest place to get up to although it does make a nice picture.

Ha, well the pic was worth it for sure, having said that, your picture is far more significant!!
I do believe you are a 6 footer!.. No wonder I had trouble getting up there being 12 inches shorter! Wonder how many more people will try to scramble up that wall!

How did you make that ratchet windlass?????????? I would love one and I'm sure other boaters would aswell . how about going into production as I have never seen one anywhere!!!

Mo, We didnt make the windlass, we were given the windlass in Cropredy. We are very honoured to have it, plus it is extremely useful to have, it really does make it very very easy on the stiff 'ol lock gear.. I think they can be purchased, I remember seeing them for sale on the internet somewhere.
