Thanks, Sue!
Mist can be used to great effect in landscape photos. I think the trick is to give a lot of depth to the picture, so you can see the mist in the foreground and ALSO see it gradually disappear in the distance
Cheers,
Andrew

Isn't this one of the most beautiful locks?
I tried to comment on your picture in Copredy (somehow the comment wasn't saved). We were there in may this year with a hireboat. I thought we now had a good reason to go back and take the same picture.
We did make nearly the same picture on the Somerton Deep Lock. A bit more to the back and left. Were they still selling secondhand books?
You said that the only difference between the pictures was the mist, but I think I spotted a little difference as well: NB No Poblem!

Andrew,
Hope you had a good day yesterday.. yes your pictures are super, moreso since you got yourself that digital camera!!.. Sure does beat queueing (sp) at Boots waiting for the pics that didn't come out quite right!
Alex,
Ha yes the obvious 'spot the difference' but there is another... in Andrew's pic the lock paddle nearest the camera is up, in mine tis down! There was no sign of life at the house, well it was a bit of a rimey morning, so no books out..
