Hi Sue, Vic and Lucy,
Thank you for that interesting picture of the inside of the farm shop on the narrowboat Pam. It sounded like it was busy while you were there with the beets being prepared. Did you get a chance to walk around the gardens? Andrew said that he very much enjoyed the gardens when he visited the shop.
Received this month's Canal Boat Magazine today and am looking forward to reading it this evening.
Good Luck on the Thames. How many more days do you think it will take you to get to the Kennet and Avon? On the little map I have it looks quite close.
Best wishes,
Mark

lovely to see some piccies and an account of my old stomping ground! Thrupp is a lovely place; especially with its monthly folk music sessions in the local hostelry!
Kirtlington was one of my favourite mooring spots; the quarry is, as you say, lovely, and the walks around the area are beautiful.

Mark,
Actually the farm shop is in the narrowboat Pan, the kitchen is in the farm house.. I didn't get to walk through the gardens, but they are visible from the canal, and I enjoyed looking at the apple trees, picnic tables, jersey cows and loads of stuff growing just about everywhere!.. Hope you enjoyed your magazine..
Bones,
I enjoy folk music too Bones.. I even fancied going to the Banbury Folk Festival, we were quite close to that.. I do look around to see if there is folk music on locally when we stop at places.. I used to run a folk club back in the 60's called 'The Jug o' Punch in Havant in Hampshire.. used to enjoy that too.. Glad you enjoyed the pics..
