Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Gravatar Hi.

Hope the river eases off for you, otherwise your schedule will get a bit tight.

Looking at your current location, it won't be long before you go through Goring, a lovely location and a part of the world I know well, I do a lot of cycling around that area.

In case you didn't know, if you cross the bridge from Streatly into Goring, opposite the post office and set down from the road is a rather impressive old house on the corner, it's George Micheal's house, and if you walk up out of Goring towards Pangbourne, as it levels out there is a huge house set in it's own grounds with Lama's roaming in the front garden, well that is Rowan Attkinson's house, (usually a Bentley on the drive).

I'm a mine of information you know.......... most of it useless!!

Keep up the blog, it brightens my day.

Gravatar Hi Dave!

I had no idea such famous people lived in and near Goring, I shall take a walk! Mind you, I suppose this magical river does attract the famous along its banks.

The schedule is OK at the moment, but most of the locks close a week tomorrow for the winter.. we defo need to clear the Thames before 1st or we will be stuck on the river for the whole of winter.. should be on the move tomorrow, there is rain forcast, but today there has been no rain, we are hoping the locks will be in the amber alert not the red.

Glad you are enjoying blog..
