I think you might want to take a look at the recent posting by Andrew of Granny Buttons regarding the Llangollen canal where he talks about being unhappy. I bet he would enjoy hearing from you and getting a little cheer up!
Enjoyed your posting about negotiating the price of the coal. This sort of thing can be fun once in a while particularly if you can save a little bit. Sounds like between the coal and the wood you are ready for a cold spell.
And, yes the cell phone companies do upgrade phones from time to time, but I guess I just don't want to learn how to use another phone. Actually they sent me a new one a few months back which even has a camera. Actually I'm showing my age by not taking it out of the box. Have to get on with it.
This weekend Sharlene is hosting a luncheon for local doll collectors. She will be showing many new dolls and they all look terrific. We've both been working hard at this for a couple of weeks, and tomorrow everything has to come together. Now that all of the work is nearly done I hope that Sharlene will be able to enjoy this gathering.

We paid £8.40 a bag from a passing coal boat and 50p/ltr.......
And then at Debdale on the Leics section we found diesel at 45p/ltr and he said they never went above 50p all this year !!
Guess you're right, it pays to check each supplier and not just assume everyone has hiked their prices.
Haven't seen Granny Buttons along this stretch yet. We have made all kinds of assumptions on where he might have gone and where he could be making for.
We've got a bottle on one side in case he passes south Leicester but my corkscrew fingers are itching to get on with it.
Lovely pics, and thanks for the "condition reports" on the K&A. We might think again about trekking to Bristol if we have to take our own lock gates.
The thought of Lucy tripping made us wince, ouch.

Hope Sharlene had a good luncheon.. I am sure she did. BTW she seems to be recovering well too?
But Mark, put the phone on ebay if you are not going to use it, and take Sharlene out for a nice meal on the proceeds!!

Oh boy.. well if I were you I would crack the bottle open... I think catching Andrew is like catching a days rain at the moment! 
It's the weekend you need to do the looking, and at night too.. its quite hard to stop Granny Buttons on the nightly run in the darkness! Love to you both... take care xx
