Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

>>after 3 years away from this canal

You are making me feel old Sue..... I can't believe that it is 3 years since the girls and I visited with NP at Dundas..... but I suppose it must be...

This spring we saw you in the midlands, 2005 I saw you at Ely in the very very rain... that's where my memory goes all fuzzy

Perhaps we will get to see you this winter as well...

Best wishes to all aboard NP and MTL for that matter.

P.s. what is that amazing announcement? I am quite purple in the face from holding my breath

You know what Sue, could it also be 3 years since we last met at the Cain Hill Flight of locks...???? Noooooo...!!! surely not. Will you be going that way again soon as I see your getting near to it. Would be nice to bring the now 14yr old daughter lol. Let me know so I can bring the daughter if you happen to cruise through that way on a weekend. Or bugger it I may just take a day off work.

Hey Jamas,
I think we went to Dundas the year after Caen......

Sue is nearly (in canal terms) at Caen now (well Honey Street or there abouts)

Perhaps we should have a Caen Flight party again - I have a new car so there won't be 'issues' on the way either

I am sure the girls would love a day out. Is your 14y/o a goth? mine is sort of....

Ooops - this is sue's blog not a forum Sorry sue and the other people who read the blog

Gravatar Hi Sue

I love the autumn colours on the canal - if you get a bright crisp day, it takes some beating.

Hope you manage to keep your internet connection going - where would those of us who are landbased be without our regular fix of Retirement with NP!

Have you seen the e-petition set up by Save Our Waterways? http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/SaveO...veOurWaterways/

Regards

Gillian

Gravatar Hi Sue/Vic
Reading your winter cruising blogs has got me thinking i might just try it next winter. As this is my first FULL winter i am cruising near family ie Gd Union South till new year. I am finding it frustrating after the distance in summer i covered.
Anyway nice to see Lucy is getting back to towpath trotting. Hope Vic takes it easy on that back.
Hope we all meet soon and regards to Chas/Ann

Gravatar James and Ron..

Caen Hill next year fellas! The Caen Hill Flight has some repairs to be done I think from the end of this week till well into December.

So we are hoping after the New Year to make our way to Bath and back until early spring when most of the locks should be open (March16th) then back out onto the Thames to who knows where!!

Gillian,

The colours are outstanding, although right now it is absolutely pouring with rain, everying will be awash with mud by morning and perhaps not so beautiful anymore!

We are taking No Problem to the protest at Pewsey at the weekend.. it sure won't take too much to block the canal up there.. apparently the boats are moored three abrest anyway!!

Les...

Well after all the mud on this canal, we have already decided not to winter on this canal again. It has not been good, just nowhere to moor except in mud.. I really dont remember it being this bad when I was here last.. Will take a look round the blogs later.. glad the aerial is working well for you.. Will pass on your best wishes to Chas and Ann xx

Kevin & Debs
