Looks like you've come off the Nene just in time, I received notification from the EA of Strong Stream Advice for the Nene and the Ouse this afternoon - good timing.
Love the blog, we will keep an eye out for you when you get to the Buckden area.

Hi Sue and Vic good luck at that bend,now you have a longer boat it will be even more fun for you I reckon!!!! its bad enough in my parents boat and that just a small one. We know what you mean about the area around ASDA we feel quite ashamed, being that we are ex Peterborians, no wonder we are got out of there and will be making our ultimate escape when our boat is done. Hopefully in a couple of years they will have finished the new marina (which is going to be on the North Bank of the Nene where you turn right for Stanground) and maybe you'll this will be secure enough to stop a while and have a good look around as there are some nice sights in the city.

Yes for sure we are heading down to Cambridge this year. In the two years (2005 and 06) we did not go all the way to Cambridge, this year we are hoping to do so, but whether we actually stay on the visitor moorings depends on the day....

Yes, looking at the Gypsy Rover blog it does look as if we have been extremely lucy. I am just about to phone EA to see what the situation is before we leave the tranquility of the Middle Levels.. Might see you later then?

Yes such a pity that embankment, but I was talking to the chap who owns the trip boat that is moored there and he tells me that on the other bank everything is coming down for redevelopment right along from the town bridge to where we peel off for Stanground.. he hopes then that they will do something with the side he is on to make it more attractive.
Got round that bend just fine, I was lucky.. THIS time!!
