Now me being just a virgin (2yrs boating) but i seem to re-call someone having a rope tied to the rudder in case it comes out of the skeg? help me here anyway it stops the rudder being lost in the cut.

Les, I think you are right!! I gotta laugh though, they must be a bit paranoid, or maybe they lost one before, to put a bit of string on it.. I wonder if anyone has ever put a bit of string on a windlass just in case??!! 
Loved the April fool, read it out to Vic and we had a good laugh when you first wrote it. Tried to do an equally funny comment, but T Mobile kept timing out and blogger wouldnt take it.. but enjoyed looking at the comments today!
