Hi you are moored exactly where we were a week ago. Look out for our flag alongside the railway. Was still there on Sunday when Derek was on the steam train. Hope you had a great birthday. Take care we are loving this area.

Hi Sue
Can't tell you how much we enjoy your blog.
We have had a share for the last 12 years on a Challenger managed boat, Vanguard, which following their recent troubles and people wishing to move on, the syndicate have decided to sell. So until it is sold and we can buy a share in a replacement boat, we are unable to go boating at the moment, so are living the life through your blog.
Keep up the good work.
Peter & Linda.

Dear Sue,
So glad you enjoyed the birthday card. I forgot to tell you that last week our local paper, the Half Moon Bay Review, ran a 3 page article about Geocaching. You write about your interest in this from time to timee, and I really enjoyed reading the article about Geocaching in our area.
A couple of blogs back you showed some pictures of water flowing over the locks. Sure looked dangerous. I bet you had an exciting day getting through these locks.
Have a great day, and best wishes,
Mark

Peter and Linda,
Now I am surprised at that. I was speaking to whoever was on Vanguard not long ago asking how the syndicate was getting on considering what had happened. They told me that everything was fine and that they (the syndicate) would manage it for themselves.
Well I hope then that you sell her soon.. sad innit?
Glad you enjoy the blog, thanks for your comment on that, and I do hope that it won't be too long 'till you are locking and cruising again..

Hello Mark,
Yes I enjoy the geocaching and I will be out and about tomorrow seeing if I can find some in this area.. It certainly makes a walk interesting if you can plan to pass one or two on the way..
Yes water over the top gates can be a problem especially if the river is running high, but we adjust our routine going through them and use different strategies depending on the flows.
So yes it does make an exciting day.. well the adrenalin runs a bit sometimes you know!
