Hi Sue,
Great blog today! I'm glad you had a good trip through Brum. It always amazes me that it never seems like you're in such a large city along much of the canal system around here.
Hope you enjoy the Lapworth flight - they fill and empty quickly this side of Kingswood Junction!
Happy cruising,
Peter

Peter,
We have had a great trip through Brum, totally enjoyed.. glad the blog was OK, it seemed a bit long winded.. but there was so much to write about.
I am looking forward to doing the Lapworth Flight, I have walked it with Lucy and Meg it's really nice.. so do you have a boat then to know they empty quick?

Congratulations on sending the food back. There's too much acceptance of poor quality. No excuses in these difficult times. The customer is King, It's a difficult thing to do though. Stiff upper lip and all that.

Hi Sue,
Yes, our boat is moored between locks 12 & 13 as you make your way down the flight. It's an old Willow Wren hire boat, built in the 60's (in need of another paint job), but great for holidays on the cut!! (It's name is Emma Jane, but you'll only see the stern as you pass by!!)

Andy and Peter Allen, --------------
Andy, It really wasn't difficult to send that food back, it was that bad. Even the waitress said that the meat used for my meal was not lamb but old mutton!
Peter,
Yes saw Emma Jane, I notice there are a lot of 60s and 70s ex hireboats along this area, I think they look fantastic, just as good as the old working boats in my eyes!
