One of my favourite canal facts is about the shared Oxford/GU section: if you're travelling from north to south on the Oxford you go along it in one direction, but if you're heading north to south on the GU you go along it in the opposite direction! It never fails to amuse me!

Reference the campaign against Continual Cruising that appears to be taking place, it's such a pity that people with high impact lives want to impose their high costs on people who have chosen an alternative life of low impact and sustainable living.
