Hello Sue & Vic
Full English & fried pork, I take it the diet is out of the window
I just wonder how many people are going to buy at supermarkets, transfer that to their boats, and then I wonder how much of that is going to end up getting spilt as a result. Too much is my guess.
I could be wrong, but don't Tescos have a 60L max per voucher?

Hello again Sue
Sue is there any chance you could email me some pictures of your cross bed please.
Showing it workings and construction would be nice.
I am just in the process of refitting our NB bedroom and am thing of a cross bed, but not entirely sure how to make it.

Hi Sue and Vic,
Great blog. Feel like I'm almost there with you as you tell of all of your adventures.
Wanted to comment on the little race cars you saw a week or 10 days ago. They were Lotus 7 cars. These cars were sold in the US as kit cars so they could avoid import duty. I still see them from time to time at the vintage races in Monterey, California. It was very cool to see them in your picture.
Meg and Lucy are looking great and Meg looks all grown up. I'm sure Petey would have a great time following the towpath with your girls as guides.
Glad you are both doing well.
Best wishes,
Mark

Kevin, No still on the diet, but can relax somewhat now with the hard work over.. just 6 more pounds to lose in 4 months to go!!
Yes I guess you are right, if the price of diesel is too high at the boatyards there is going to be a lot of people carrying it, and spilling it as you say..
I think you are right about the 5p off voucher.. When I get mine I send them to daughter and don't really take a lot of notice of them, but I remember now reading about that.. but even 5p off 60 litres might be a good saving!

Mark,
Many thanks indeed about the information about the cars, now that is very interesting... they really did look like fun cars, I even fancied a go myself!
Well Molly has now joined the towpath walks, and it has been a bit mad with Meg being very boistrous with Annie's Molly.. poor Molly is not too sure about her new forced upon friend at the moment!!
Hope you found that stool by the way!

Be careful when measuring up for the mattresses though, as you can see ours are far too tight. I got them from The Bed Centre in Tamworth.. they are normally good. I think you need to tell them the actual size of the 'space' rather than the size of the mattress.
In any case, across the boat in total we needed 3 inches less than the actual measured width.
It might be worth you while getting a mattress company in to measure up themselves.
