Hi Sue and Vic
Looks fantastic along that stretch.
Do Ramblers and walkers have access to tha bank along the river side?
Just noticed the spotlight, looks great, well worth the searching to get it de-chromed.
Did you have to go far of the Cut to get it done.
Did you have it on through the Tunnel at Braunston? might be why you found it less of a stress?
I'll be keeping an eye on your locality 2nd weekend in May, off to Conningsby for the week end and might be close by on route.

Such beautiful scenes.
On the subject of your water, you seem to struggle with this all the time. Is it feasible to build an additional or else a bigger fresh water tank?

Roger and TimZim.. Firstly Roger, Yes Ramblers do have accesss to most parts as it is part of the Nene Way, and in any case I think people walk it as a right almost. For sure farmers turn a blind eye as we always tend to moor where we please on either side of the river.
I have only ever had one problem when moored when the farmers wife arrived alongside the boat with her angry dogs moaning about us mooring on HER land as she had had people light fires in HER corn fields and left rubbish etc..
Tar with the same brush springs to mind!
Yes the light, I have had so much to talk about I didnt get round to taking about that.. I got some close up pics which I must put on the blog..
It has only been put on recently, in fact if you go back it wasn't on for going through Braunston Tunnel, Vic put it on after that.
I got it dechromed in Gosport on the south coast.. tis close to the family home so daughter Wendie oversaw that for me and fetched it up last time she visited.
The second weekend in May.. 10th ish, I will be 'dan saff' at daughter's Jennie's 30th birthday bash!
.......................................
TimZim, Oh we don't struggle with the water. Trouble is we are very slow travellers as you will have noticed and love to stop and enjoy areas.
This means that we have to be careful of water. There are plenty of places to get water, just we moor up too much!
Our water tank is plenty big enough, normal cruising people would not have a problem!!!
