Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Gravatar Hi Sue Vic & Kiera

WE SAW A SEAL!!!!

While waiting at Brownhills he was frolicking on the St. Ives side of the lock. The lock keeper at Hermatidge said the seals will happily lock through with the boats and so get on the tidal section.

We are moored at Ely for tonight and the morning, then will set off for the Denver Complex mid afternoon ready for passage on Sunday, then home mooring @ March.

We met Balamah at St. Ives lock. We were in the process of adjusting the gearbox following the earlier problems. Seems all sorted now fingers crossed.

Gravatar BTW. Didn't get stuck this time.

Gravatar Kevin, Been a while since I have answered the comments, so this is a bit out of date, but thanks for the sighting of the seals, I didn't look there on the way upstream, I hope to see them this time!

Gravatar Hi there. We live in Queensland Australia and we intend to come next June for a holiday on the canals. Checking the interne It seems that the LLongallen canals are the best ones for first timers. I would prefer it if there is anybody out there who rents out their own boat when they are not using it and I would like to talk to them .
Best regards Trevor and Lynne

Gravatar Aussie Trev.

Well Trev, you are picking the very best canal in the UK. The biggest problem with just talking to someone and borring a boat is that there is no insurance, plus you need to stay safe. You are far better off hiring from a boatyard. They are fully equipped for holiday people and insured with all the safety aspects in place for you.

You will enjoy

Sue
