Great to meet you at last Sue - did think after the tippy up incident you could invest in a couple of river fenders which would keep you away from the lock side.
Really impressed with your boat handling into St Ives lock in the cross wind, I can see why Vic leaves it to you, I will even allow you the little ding on the way out - its difficult in a 30ft cruiser.
Sorry you missed all the eating recomendations

Hi Dave,
Well we do have some of those fat fenders, but I get worried they will get stuck in the chains!!.. It's difficult to know where the risks lie sometimes!
The only reason Vic leaves the boat handling to me is so that I don't shout at him for getting it wrong!!
The narrowboat outside the lock when I exited told me I was a cheat by using my bow thrusters.. he wouldn't believe me when I said I had none.. I guess it was the way No Problem jumped to the left after dinging the wall on the way out!!!
