Great shot of the kingfishers. I spotted a family of four once, the two younsters staying together while the parents flitted back and forth feeding them - what a thrill the simple things of life can provide!

Pip Haynes and Lesley K ---
Pip,
We do have an address where all our mail goes.. we use daughter Wendie's address for everything, we are also on the electral roll there too.
You can join any library in the country, not just the county where you live.
I think I belong to all of the county libraries that British Waterways flows through!
Lesley,
Lucky shot that of mine.. goodness that must have been wonderful seeing the babies with the parents..

Hi Sue
Hubby Rog and I have moved around the country quite a lot - and as avid readers, always joined the local library. We have always had to show some sort of proof of local address when joining. It is one thing that is slightly bothering me that when we move onto our boat 'nb Windsong next April(build due to start mid Aug) we will not have enough reading material. Please let me know how you go about joining the libraries without a local address (we will be using my Mum's address in Northampton as our mailing address)
Thanks
Pip - nb Windsong (soon!)

Pip Hayes --------------
Pip,
Well I just ask to join the library, and when she asks for my address I just give my address in Hampshire.
Sometimes they will ask if I am a visitor, I tell them I live on a narrowboat, but that is my contact address, and give them proof of where I live. You need a driving licence or utility bill. A passport is no good.
Just use your Mums addy and be forthright that you want to join the library!
