Certainly a pleasure to read your blog and see all the photos. My husband, daughter and I spent five days on a narrowboat last fall as part of a holiday to your lovely country. It was idealic and we did enjoy ourselves. Your photos bring back many memories. Jodi

Hi Sue
We were supposed to be heading off down the Oxford today to do the Thames ring but the wind has put pay to getting out of the "Old Engine Arm" so we have been googling instead and found your website - which we very much enjoyed reading. Look forward to catching up with you and No Problem somewhere soon. Graham & Carol from the Ecover boat Tia.

Hello Graham,
Oh dear, so the wind was that bad? I know walking today over the open fields there was plenty of it in my hair!.. Now you have intrigued me.. you say "from the Ecover boat Tia".
Ecover is a 'green product range', now what is the connection?
We will keep our eyes out for you.

Hi Jodi,
Nice to hear from you, and glad you enjoyed our tranquil waterways here in the UK. Also nice to hear that you enjoyed your time cruising our wonderful system.. maybe you will return and explore some more.

Hi Sue
Quite correct Ecover is a green range of cleaning products. We mainly sell Ecover but also other eco-responsible products - full details on our website and a pic of the boat so you shouldn't miss us (hopefully). www.tiacares.co.uk
As you probably are aware the wind is always worse on the hill coming out of Napton which makes turning a nightmare in order to get out of the Old Engine arm. Hopefully we'll leave tomorrow and head for Oxford where we are meeting up with some people from the Environment Agency who want all Thames lockkeepers to stock and use Ecover. Then down to Ecover headquaters where hopefully we will be able to pick up a supply of their new "Boat Wash And Wax".
Happy cruising - we'll keep an eye open for you too
Graham

Michael,
A very interesting website you have.. you should do a blog. Recycling is my bugbare.. can't do it, BW have very very few places to be able to do it.. even if there was just one 'recycle bin' taking all would be better than nothing....
See you are on your way down the Thames... glad to see this is a cruising waterway once again!
