Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Gravatar Hi Sue and Vic,

Great to catch up on your blog and I hope you enjoy the F1 race and rugby on the television this weekend. We have been busy here, but had a great trip to Denver. We stayed in a hotel built in 1891 which was great fun and enjoyed walking around the downtown area.

Sorry to hear you are not going to Chester. I went there on my last trip around the Four Counties Ring and thought it was one of the high lights of the trip. Was wondering where you are planning to spend the winter? Glad you are enjoying some fine fall weather.

Best wishes to you all,

Mark

Gravatar Sue, have you looked at the waterscape link for where you are? On the OS map there is a lovely label "Secret Bunker" - it is the famous one at Hack Green
http://www.hackgreen.co.uk/

Not so secret any more though

Gravatar and another thing - it is open each day in half term, not that you would have any use for some strange place to go, not far from an idyllic mooring...

Gravatar Hello Sue and Vic

Firstly congratulations on your insightful blog which has captured my imagination and spurred me to look further into our great British waterways!

My name is James Goldhawk and I'm a Marketing Student at the University of Liverpool. I am contacting you to see if it would be at all possible for you to aid me on a module project? Specifically I am to look at the retirement process of consumers in relationship marketing. Sounds complicated but all I would need from yourselves is 30 minutes of your time to carry out an interview (online/telephone), about your specific retirement experience, and to ask you to carry out a simple diary of your daily events (although I may even be able to use your blog – with your permission of course).

I understand that this is somewhat a random request and an inconvenience for yourselves, but if at all interested I can be contacted via my student email address, to discuss arrangements: bl0u510c@student.liverpool.ac.uk

Thank you for your consideration.

James

Gravatar Mark,

Well the weekend didn't go quite to the fairytale plan.. still never mind, our Engish lads did the best they could, I am still proud of them!

Well Mark, Chester would have been stretching things a bit, but for sure, we will be back up this canal, we simply love the Shropshire Union.. in fact tonight I don't want to leave this place we are moored at!

The hotel in Denver, did it have one of those balconies round the first floor like we used to see in the old films?

Ron,

Yeah I did notice that, in fact I did mention it on the blog on our way in the other direction, but most people say it isn't much to write home about, although there does still seem to be a secret room within the secret bunker that is not open to the public.. wonder what is in there then!

Sue
