Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Hi Sue,

Just a quick note - the RSS feed seems broken again..... on the feed the last post is "Frustrating Couple of Days..." but in the "Previous Posts" section the newer pages are there.

That 12' extra is a lot isn't it? The boat looked longer when moored but seeing her across marina, effectively the whole width of a photo, shows just how big she is.

Best wishes

Don't know if you have heard of this site before

www.petrolprices.com

Not only Petrol, all fuel types inc. LPG

It’s a handy site for finding the cheapest fuel by postcodes.
Used it last year and saved 10p per litre on one 500 mile round trip.

It’s a free site. Might be worth passing it on to others, on the Cut, or on the Road.

You just type in a post code, search Radius, fuel type, enter and it shows the cheapest from 5 to 25 mile radius.

Gravatar Hi Sue,

Like I said on wednesday's blog, still problems withe the rss feed.
Mine's stuck at: Frustrating couple of days.. not much done""as well.

Alex

Gravatar Yes, I'm afraid "FOR" is right and your RSS feed has gone AWOL.

I've been missing all the good work on the boat until I looked manually at your Blog.

Don't forget to ask if you would like help with anything from labouring to wood deliveries.

Paul

Gravatar Ron,

I am sure we will get used to the extra length.. we may just have to use poles and ropes more especially in the wind. It does seem to respond well when asked to do something though, so that is pleasing.

Roger,

That is an excellent site, there is a lot of savings to be had on fuel on the road, but on the cut it is word of mouth that tends to find the cheapest fuel.

Having said that, the prices are up and down like a yoyo wherever you try to get fuel. Here at Devizes we were delighted to fill up at a reasonable-ish 54p a litre.. the next day a tanker came to top them up, and the price went to 60p a litre!

Alex,

Should be OK now

Paul,

Thankyou for that.. wood is difficult, but I think we have overcome that one. We borrowed one of the big trollies from Focus to get the shop soiled wardrobe back.. flat pack style.. well it wasn't 'soiled' as such, they actually have to put a bag of cement in the bottom of it for display purposes so it doesn't fall over, but it always breaks the bottom, hence it goes out at the end of the range for silly money..

We were to knacked to take the trolly back and parked it in the Marina Car Park. They have a strict clamping regime.. I did wonder if.... But NP, it hadn't been clamped when I went to take it back the next day!
