Can we join the club too - TUBA! Like it. We too are waiting for a licence, applied for mid December. Not a Gold, but have realigned our renewal date deliberately so we can have one in the future.
What fun BW Patrol Officers could have, that would snarl up the system even more

re mass exodus
if you do decide to make a run for the middle levels dont forget that Stanground needs twenty four hours notice if you want to use the lock. unless you are prepared to grovel a little bit

Hi Sue we called on you to say hello in the summer when you were moored at Haywood on your way to the Shroppie. I have just seen your picture of The Cock Inn at Stowe. This is amazing - I was born at Stowe-by-Chartley and lived there until I was 20. My Mum still lives along the lane in the cottage where I grew up. I can not believe your Mum and Dad met there all those years ago! It is a lovely village your pictures on the link are great for your Dad to see.
Happy boating 2008 - look forward to your adventures!!!!

Gill, Rod, and Fiona
Gill, Well Hi again. Yes I remember your visit.. how odd that you were brought up there too. It certainly is a lovely village, and I met one or two of them too, a very friendly lot I must say. Happy 2008 to you too
Rod, Yes having been across the Middle Levels twice before we know about having to phone through. It is nice that the retiring Lock Keeper Alan Rootham's daughter Tina has taken over the family tradition, with Alan joining her on a few occasions to help out.
Fiona, Yes seems more and more people are joining this new Association. I am really surprised BW have not taken the cash, they must be needing it at the moment surely?!
