Tried to read about the incident on Balmaha but the site for some reason wouldn't open up, tried same using a link from Milly M's blog but same there also. Incidentally I am an avid reader of your blog, I'm sure will will see you on the cut someday.

Dont stay at Gnosall some locals believe the village is cursed.
it is known as suicide village
the highest in the uk .
I thought you would go south, staff wocs the best canal in England .
to Kinver ,Stourport on severn fun fair, parks go to bewdley by bus the sever valley rail to bridge north
The stratford upon avon canal
its a must
thorntons grow there marzipan trees
along the canal

In that case I must visit those marzipan trees.. Stratford on Avon canal will go on the list of 'to do's'!
Odd that news about Gnosall, a little tiny village like that being on the top of a horrid statistic.. but we moor at Gnosall Heath, so 'spose that is OK there..

nought wrong with gnosall, its beautiful, ur missing out if nt visiting it, iv lived there for 22 years n not had one suicidal thought! :D

Gnosall is a lovely place, the canal passes through Gnosall Heath, the main village being some half mile or so away. I like it here, that's why we keep coming back!
