Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Gravatar Hello Sue

Just to let you know, we broke down and had to be towed back to Fox's. The engine is dead big time

Oh well. It was an adventure

Kevin

Gravatar Kevin,

Oh No!!

Do you have a cunning plan then?

Gravatar Hello Sue.

Well I thought about knitting one LOL.

I have made some enquiries about repair / replacement, so just waiting for the general opinion at the moment. It is going to be looked at by a Lister man later in the week..

Kevin

Gravatar Kevin, How annoying.. Do you have to pay for the mooring there while you are waiting?

We shall be calling in for diesel when we pass I think.. how much is it do you know?

Sue

Gravatar Hello Sue

I am sure we will have to pay. I think the diesel is 62.5 + 5% tax. I am very pleased with their service though, and am considering moving up to there.

Currently on the hunt for an engine. Found a few but all seem to have "vague" history.

email me when you expect to arrive. I may be there as I am still doing other work on her, and will probally end up taking the current engine out myself.

Kevin

Gravatar Kevin, Making 65 or 66p a litre. I guess that is where we will fill up next.

Yes I heard Fox was a good marina on the towpath telegraph. Look on ebay for engines?

Will be there about end May

Sue

Gravatar Hi Sue don't hold me on that price as i didn't really look at the bill. It might have been 62.5L put in.

Kevin

Gravatar Kevin, No worry. I just know Oundle will probably be high, we have enough diesel to last to March.. errrrr March, Cambridgeshire not March 09!

Hope you can sort your narrowboat out OK Kevin. Sounds like you are impressed with their boatyard. You could get some moorings on the middle levels.. much cheaper than anywhere else, and in some places for free..
