Hi Sue
I've sepnt the last few months reading your 'Blog' every day - counting down the months, weeks and days to when our dream becomes a reality. At last it's going to happen. I've heard today from our solicitor that the contracts for the sale of our house are ready for signing - we complete on 3rd January and become liveaboards on our boat 'Matilda Rose' on 5th January.
Thanks for keeping me sane while I've been packing up the house and sorting out a million and one problems. If we are half as happy on our boat as you and Vic seem to be on yours we're going to really appreciate our retirement.
Kind regards to your both and to your 'girls'
Jackie

Hi again,
Keep having to come back and read your wonderful pages and view your photos. We are not yet quite ready for the "big leap" into ownership and cruising but we are sure we will make it one day!
In the meantime we will continue to hire each year and hopefully our circumstances will allow us to do what you have achieved.
Best regards, please keep the diary going.

Drool, drool, drool.
How can we get some of that wood?
You knew we would couldn't keep away from the Comments Box when you posted that picture of wood on No Problem didn't you !!
Looks like someone has had training in cutting pit props too.
Nothing down here yet and there's other boats, strangers, cruising up and down looking mean and ready to kill for the first tree down.
Coal just isn't the same is it, don't like the smell of solid fuel drifting through the boat after shovelling it in. We've taken to burning used tea bags and orange peel to make the place smell nice. Attracting strange looks from the tow path walkers though.
Keep warm, see you next year.

M+V,
Hands off! And no we did not disclose where we got it either!
John, Anne and Megan,
Many thanks for the nice comment, and glad you enjoy the blog. We hired boats from 1973, and it wasn't till 2001 that we bought one!
Jackie,
Congratulations!!
I am so pleased you have at last got where you wanted. I am sure you will be as happy as we are.. you will love the life for sure.
We look forward to bumping into you.. opps.. meeting you I mean, out on the cut soon!
Martin,
When I found that link page I also spent around the same amount of time as you for a good read!
