Hi.
I know Houghton very well and regularly stay at the caravan site at the end of the lane in your picture of the thatched cottages. By spooky coincidence I was planning to go thee this weekend until my days off were cancelled due to the Climate camp down here.

Lovely to watch you passing through East anglia and great that you remember us.
I will contact "ditchcrawler" soon, I look forward to meeting another Fan from my part of the world.
Happy cruising, we shall be watching your progress and hope to meet up once more.

Great photos and interesting lifestyle. I found my way here from another site about narrowboating-which is all new to me.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi just wanted to say that I have followed your blog for the last couple of years, we have now purchased our secondhand narrowboat and looking forward to spending time on the water. Your blog is so full of useful and interesting information - we still have another year or two before retirement but will spend as much time on our boat as we can, can't wait to get up the Ouse it sounds fantastic.

Hi Sue,
Houghton looks terrific. Glad to read about your good times. The picture of Meg is really great. Sorry I haven't written for a couple of weeks, but we've been very busy. I dread the Christmas season as I'm sure it will be very busy.
We're also enjoying the Olymics, and wouldn't it be great to go in London in four years? Who knows, could happen!
Best wishes to all of you,
Mark

Dave Elcome, Gerry, Steve, lesley and Mark ------------
Dave,
Yes, a lovely place. I liked the way villagers just sat in the centre on the seats by the Post office watching the world go by. The buses had a lot of trouble passing each other in the narrow lanes too!
What on earth is "Climate camp down here"??
Gerry,
Glad you have met up with Brian now. It is always nice to meet other narrowboaters who live in the same area.. Happy cruising to you both..
Steve,
Glad you are enjoying the blog, thanks for your comment..
lesley,
So pleased you enjoy the bog, and nice to see that you have bought a narrowboat, you sure will enjoy. I hope then to meet up sometime, and for sure, you will enjoy this part of the world, 'tis much quieter than the canals during the summer months. Good luck to you in your travels..
Mark,
Oh sounds like you need more hands on for Christmas.. How about employing a couple of students to help you through the Christmas period? Don't go overworking you two!
The olympics are very exciting, and today we have a gold in the swimming pool, the first gold since Anita Lonsborough some 42 years ago!
