Hi Sue. I follow your blog as often as I can. It was the very first blog I found about the life on Englands canal system. Thank you for all your hard work. I also follow a few other blogs, such as "TEN BOB NOTE", "VALLRIE", and "HADAR". I am a little worried about "TEN BOB NOTE".
His page comes back with a "404 page not found" error. Like LES he is a solo boater. I hope nothing has happened to him. If I was over there I would make some inquiries on my own.
I guess we blog readers get an attachment for you blog writers.
Thanks

Mark, to put your mind at rest, Alan from narrowboat Lazy Days reports that Ernie from Ten Bob Note has given up his website due to time constraints.

Hi Sue,
Hope you enjoy your day at the Black Country Museum - it's a fascinating place.
If you want any advice about travelling the canals of the West Midlands, please drop me a line.
We're moored at Lapworth and regularly travel North, through Brum (and back) so generally know which parts to avoid and at what times.
I live in Stirchley (just by Cadbury's) so hopefully I'll get to say hello if you're passing this way!
Have fun,
Pete

I've recently discovered the world of narrowboat blogs, and am enjoying following your travels very much. Also Piston Broke, Marmaduke (what a story!) and others.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Cheers.

Oh no, we've missed you - we've just moved on from the BCN. Do enjoy your cruise - it's a fantastic network on so many levels.

Oh Sue, sorry to disappoint you but i dont think that is an orchid. It looks more like a snapdragon to me. It is amazing how these thing seed themselves all over. Have you been around the Black Country Museum? It is a fascinating place. My other half can remember life as it was way back then with fish and chips cooked in beef dripping and the odd 'piece'. We had a fantastic day there a few years ago. Glad to see your enjoying the summer sunshine.

Mark Haverland, Colin, Peter Allen,John Harrison, Sue Cook and Mary...------------
Mark,
Yes unfortunately Ernie has given up his blog, I hope it is only temporory. It does take a lot of time to do a regular blog for sure.. by the time you have sorted the photos of the day, put words to that.. or thought about what you want to say.. find and put the links in to other sites that readers might enjoy... Yes it is taking up too much of his time.. he said..
"Why did I take it down?? Well, probably the main reason was the amount of time it required to update and maintain it. My only form of internet access is my mobile phone and on occasions, the link can be worse than useless.
Also, I did feel that I was ‘under scrutiny’ in everything I did, I started to feel a bit ‘uncomfortable’ with it all in recent months."
I have been lucky with my internet connection, I normally find one.. Er nie will be sadly missed..
Colin,
Thanks Colin for pointing the way
Peter Allen,
Many thanks Peter, and for sure we did enjoy our day.. what an amazing place and for sure we will be back to do the whole tunnel next time!
John Harrison,
Many thanks indeed for your comment, I am glad you are enjoying and not getting bored to death!
Sue,
Well I am sure we will catch up with you at some point or other, it is amazing how boaters we met only a month ago are half way across the country now.. I just love the way we all bump into one another every now and again!
Mary,
You are right! I never expected to see one of those where I took the pic, there isnt a wall within a mile of there!
Sue
