Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Sue,
Its very generous of you to make your unused rail tickets available to others - but a word of warning! from the fares you quote I presume that these are Advance Purchase Tickets restricted to particular trains. legally (believe it or not!) such tickets are NOT valid for journeys to "stations along the way" and can only be used for the full route. If there are automatic (or even staffed) ticket barriers at the station concerned you will find that the ticket will be rejected and you'd be liable to pay the full single fare for the journey taken! Of course, in practice, depending on where you were going you'd "probably" get away with it but I think you'll want to make prospective users of the tickets aware of this. I know its crazy - but then what aspect of our system of charging for train travel isn't?
BTW - How can you get Norbury Wharf to alter your furniture when I can't get them to put my new engine in??

Jim,
Thanks for that, in fact as you will have noticed I have edited the blog, and the tickets are now not available.
I did tell them to get on with it, and the next day they fetched Starcross ready to put the new engine in!

Jim,
Hopefully the engine is in now.. mind the hands of the fitters were freezing that morning, I really don't know how they do any work with numb fingers.. saw that new drive too, very impressive, and saw the engine bay, they put some new struts in to take the engine bearings, all very impressive, they sure do a good job at that boatyard..
We will be around here running up to xmas, so might catch up with you sometime.

Sue,
I've been very pleased with everything that Norbury Wharf have done on Starcross. Its one reason why I'm happy to moor there even though its so far from Hereford. I know its taken them longer than it should have done to get round to doing the job but I'm aware of the problems Simon's had recently so I don't reallt mind. I am grateful to you though for keeping me in touch (and chivvying them along?)and we'll look out for you between now and Christmas along the Shroppie!
Cheers

Jim,
I spied Starcross up the top of the arm by the dock in the centre today. While we were at Norbury nobody was around so couldnt ask about progress.
But if Starcross is at the top of the arm for sure, the new engine is in.
