Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Gravatar Hi Sue & Vic,

Congratulations on getting to the Black Country Museum and getting a short trip through the tunnel.

As you say it is unique. I have legged a boat through many times; once with only one other person. I think that the old leggers who did it for a living must have been tough characters.

Still reading every blog & not even a hint of boredom.

Kind regards,

Graham

Well our blog appears to be working. Havn't worked it all out yet but I'm working on it. All good fun.

Gravatar Hi Sue,
I very much enjoyed reading of your trip through Birmingham so far .. particularly the Wolverhampton 21 and all the photos. I think I last did that flight as a teeneger in the 1970s and I still remember being surprised by how rural it was then.

Happy Cruising!

Gravatar Hi Sue/Vic
Glad you`re enjoying the museum and tunnel trip as i did 2yrs ago.
Must put it on my do again list.
Shame about the Trolley bus, i used to go to school on one and a ride brought back some memories.
Til we all meet up again.
Be safe.
LES

Gravatar Thank you for letting me know.

Gravatar Looks like you had a great time at the Black Country Museum Sue. Did you spot the folks dressed in period costumes around. We chatted to quite a few last time we were there. The lady in the pub was a scream. There was also another lady in one of the terraced houses who was showing kids how meat was cooked infront of the fire. If they where good she would give the a 'piece' which was a bit of bread dipped into the dripping and juices. My other half can remember this happening with a neighbour when he was small and lived in the area. We loved watching the old fashioned boiled sweets being make too. Fantastic place.

Graham,

Well you must be very fit legging it through there, but we will be back, I want to take a trip right through it.. once a month that happens I believe, and there is me actually wanting to go in a tunnel!

Graham & Jill,

Your blog is looking good, now all you need to do is keep it up!

Nick,

Yes, I was so very surprised how rural the canal was.. I guess an awful lot of people live within a mile of it and don't even know it is there!

Les,

I used to go to school on a trolly bus too!.. Born the same year weren't we?

Mary,

Yes many a time as a kid I had a piecie from my grandma.. These days I just seem to put on weight if I dare dip the bacon pan!

There were a lot of children about when we were there, it was great to see class loads of them out on a school trip and they were taking up all the time of the ladies dressed up.

But we will be back!

Sue
