Know the water point at weaton aston quite well
Spent half an afternoon waiting for an engineer from Black Prince to come and change the batteries last year.
Posted a couple of photos from that point on the 'canal route planner'? site, historic, made my day it did.
Moved up to the cutting a few mile further north, between bridge 22 and 23, had to more up as it was starting to get dark.
worth it though as we were greeted by nightingales.
Woodpeckers the next morning.

Yes this is a lovely area, we stopped a while just beyond where you did, and it has been glorious. Now we are stopped a little further on, once again total isolation... what more could one ask for.
