Hi Sue and Vic,
My goodness, first you give up smoking, and now I hear about a diet! Well congratulations on all of these healthy initiatives. Hopefully Vic will be out of the woods with his back soon and everyone will be back to normal.
Loved the picture of Tara with Paul cycling along the towpath. Great atmosphere.
We're working away here. Next weekend our granddaughter, Whitney, celebrates her First Communion. This should be a nice event with the whole family getting together. Tomorrow I hope to go to the Dream Machines event where I hope to see a lot of vintage British cars, and maybe a couple of British fighter planes from WWII. The weather is great right now so this should be a nice little outing.
Vic, take at easy on the back. Best Wishes,
Mark

Well Mark, I really do need to lose some weight.. It has been over a year now since I stopped smoking, and I suppose I must be healthier!
But the weight has gone on over the winter and I am defo feeling on the heavy side.. bit of a struggle over the stiles.. don't want to feel like this, so am making a big effort to drop some pounds.. trouble is I have been on the diet for a couple of weeks and have actually put on weight!
I will get there in the end, I think I need to drink more water..
Sounds like you have a lovely weekend coming up, good luck to Whitney, and enjoy your British cars and planes.. I love the smell of the leather of the old cars.. and of course you cant but admire spitfires and merlins.. hope you see some of those wonderful machines.

Great fun reading and seeing your photos. Did you ever think about writing a book Sue?
So NP is now Tara and NP2 is now officially NP.

Hope Vic can rest his back soon.
Lovely reading about your trip. Reminds me of our trip on the RM Nb Cadley Lock in 2004.

Martin,
No I have never even felt like writing a book.. I enjoy writing the blog. That all started because the family wanted to know where we were each evening and I was fed up keep having to phone.. but it is a great 'diary' for me too, and I know a lot of people enjoy it and are interested in the way we have retired.
Jane,
Glad the memories are flooding back, tis a lovely canal in the spring.. the mud is gone to be deplaced by dust!
Vic has done a few little jobs this morning on No Problem, so moving about more again today.. soon he will be doing the locks with a bit of luck
