Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

I am hi-jacking Mum's blog, Apologies to all.

Mum, it has been 20 years to the day since you made my dream came true. (How many people can say that?) I would like to thank you for the fantastic backlog of memories we have, which I drawn on everyday. During our intensive mother and daughter time together I found an outstanding mentor and friend that has influenced my life forever. You have taught me the art of dedication and motivation that no book ever could teach, which I hope I will pass on to your granddaughters who will forever thrive on your knowledge.
We have such wonderful memories, Mum, that we laugh upon on many occasions, which I cherish so dearly. I am so very proud of you and Vic, and feel so privileged that you are part of my, and our family’s lives.

Thanks for helping me to always look for the glad.

Your daughter Wendy

Gravatar Hi Sue,
It's a great adventure isn't it?

Gravatar Wendy,

Well I think I have just about recovered from that, my eyes have now, at last, dried.

Thankyou for a most wonderful comment, no mother would get better than that, and you have made me feel a bit special.

It was a grand day, the day that your dream came true, but without the dedication that you learned and without the work you put in, that dream would not have been made.

In life if there is something you really really want, then you will get it.. and you really really wanted that dream.

To let those that are interested in this comment reply into the secret of what that dream was..

Wendy jumped at the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley all those years ago on a pony called Little Nell.. just 12.2hh (48" at the shoulder. Most of the other ponies there cost in access of 3 or 4 grand, our Little Nell cost a tenth of that.. and we had to work sooooo hard trying to qualify her to go to Wembley including trips to Scotland!..

Just a taster for those interested.. there was much more to it..

Martin,

It's always a great adventure these canals, they are always different too each time you visit!

We didn't get to Chirk Bank pub as you see... there are plenty more pubs to visit later!

Sue (Mum!)

Gravatar Doh! I wasn't paying attention!

Gravatar Martin,

Oh do keep up young man!!

Sue

Gravatar The towpath at Chirk has been falling in to the canal since last year too...
