Dee is very nice really (the irrate woman from the private moorings at West Mills). That is the very spot we used to moor in before we moved Safina to Ely. A mooring very dear to my heart - and so pretty. Shame I didn't read this before - we have been away for the weekend - you could have said hello for us.
We will follow your route north with interest and relive our hasty journey at a much slower pace.
Good luck with the fitting out NP2 looks great!

Hi Gail, Well she probably is a nice lady, but she was very irate with me although I had apologised I don't know how many times and told her I didn't realise it was private, I had missed the sign, it was late, and I told her I would put the fire out.. but still she kept going on... Yes a lovely mooring that, I presume that Dee and her neighbours actually rent the moorings although they have no boat just so they dont have narrowboats moor there anymore? 
Yes, I would have passed on your good wishes.. and yes it will be a much slower pace for sure than the one you did.. I still don't know how you achieved getting to Ely in 2 weeks!
