Lovely photos Sue, just had to tell you that my sis has just bought one of the houses that you show in photo number 2. Lovely to see it and the area. Havent been to Atherstone for year but it used to be a lovely place with a Dickens fayre in December.

Hi Mary,
Yes some lovely housing just as we dropped down a few locks. I remember the last time we were here they were building those houses.. Lovely town it is too, I spent a good hour and half just browsing round.. no clone town yet, and the co-op has the biggest building. I wondered how they managed to fend off Tesco and Asda for that prime location they have.
I really enjoyed Atherstone.. the station too is wonderful, the station house still stands, it's huge, but now uninhabited.. this must have been a big importent town in the industrial revolution days, the station platform is very big.. Just imagine those steam trains stopping.. Ho hum..
Mo,
Party night tonight eh?.. heh, well why don't you take one more swing round the Leicester ring and we can meet up again!
Kevin, Debbie and K9's
Nice to hear from you both.. hope you don't get too over crowded over there!
No we are not coming over to the east this year.. too busy for us with everyone going for the IWA.
We will be back next year for sure
Sue
