Hi, Your comments are always most welcome

Hiya sue,

If you want to tax your bandwidth, several Linux Distros offer 'Live CDs" which when burnt on a CD/DVD allow you to boot yourPC in Linux without touching the existing XP...
An alternative is that (at least) Ubuntu Linux offers a way of running the OS inside XP to see if you like it... I have Ubuntu on two laptops and a PC at home. It works well, at least one of the girls prefers it to windows and the laptops just work.

Have fun whilst you wait for the gear box!

Ron

Gravatar glad to hear your well and busy. Geoff has just finished his walk from Cambridge to Oxford in 4 days I could not go this time :-(

Gravatar Lesley, I wouldn't mind a go at one of them.. I bet there is a knack of not falling in while paddling!

Gravatar Hi Sue if you really want to try a coracle (and your stuck there much longer) I can pop over when your free.
