I think you have that backwards. Most feminists I know have been in favor of allowing women the *choice* of being topless in public.

I assumed most people in Sweden went to the pool nude already. Oh well, live and learn.

How will Sweden's significant Muslim population react? Will Muslim males flock to the pools? Will they use this as an excuse to rape more Swedish women in Sweden? Since Sweden is likely to be the first Islamic European country, or GB, this freedom won't be around long. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Indeed, as John pointed out, you have it backwards, most definitely. There are ordinances in NYC that allow women to walk around the city bare chested as well.
Methinks you have a less that passing understanding of feminism.

Unfortunately, the women who go topless will probably be the sort of women who should never take their clothes off in the light of day...

The right to be topless as appose to headless given the rapidly growing Muslim population in Sweden I think is the point.
Understanding of feminism, it's all about the priorities I suppose.

Women definitely have the right to be topless.
Just like I have the right to stare.

I think that a bikini make à young lady stil more beautiful and more plesant to look at.
And to think what it is possible to see, behind a bra, is more agreable than to see the directly the breast. When we saw the naked breast, ther's no mor to see..
sorry for my english...

What's the big deal? It has been my observation that the less of an issue a given place makes it, the less of an issue it is.
Indonesia is a Muslim country, but none of the locals bat an eye or herd to gawk at topless surfer girls in Kuta beach in Bali; and most visitors acclimate quickly. It's just the Arabs and others from repressive cultures who comport themselves lewdly. And they know they have a choice of beautiful beaches, but they flock to Kuta nonetheless.
The same can be said of Ciplolite's nude bathing, in Oaxaca, Mexico. You get the occasional newly arrived gawker from Mexico City or Guadalajara, but the locals and people that have been around a few days are accustomed and easy about it, barely giving any notice (no pun intended).
And in the States, take Black's Beach in San Diego. People know it's unofficially a nude beach, with entire familys of regulars playing nude volleyball every weekend; 4 generations of them picnicking together. And this is a great example...
Getting to Blacks isn't easy; you either have to mountain-goat it down the cliff, or wait for low tide to walk north from La Jolla or south from Torrey Pines. It's such a bother the cops and lifeguards leave it pretty much be, even though it is technically unlawful to strip in San Diego beaches.
People who go know what to expect, and most recurrent visitors join in, even though it's nude-optional. You do get the ocasinal lewed flashing jogger, and a few poor idiots with telescopes at the top of the cliff at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, but most people are there for the sun, the surf, and the liberty. I used to convince groups of freinds in College to go down, and most of us would be casually naked within the hour; Blacks is just a conducive, relaxed environment and it feels comfortable and natural. Girls and guys you'd never expect to join in just... did.
The one comment above I disagree with it, at places like Blacks, you get everything from lots of perfect 10s to pretty overweight and elder people. If seeing bodies that don't represent your aesthetic ideals really bothers you, you are one of the people who probably shouldn't climb down.
And that's my argument. Ultimatley, if it bothers you, no problem! You can go to any one of San Diego's other beautiful beaches. You'll have one hell of a time trying to convince me you and the kiddies "accidentally" found yourself in the middle of Black's.
There's this great line in an old 40s or 50s movie explaining how in Indonesia a woman walking naked is no big deal but a Boticelli or a Michael Angelo painting is shocking. The narrator concludes: "Pornography is a question of geography". ...that's -one- way of looking at it :)
