Mamalujo,
I, like the Spurs, have skimped on the whole pre-season thing. Haven't watched a game, haven't read the only NBA blog worth reading (gasp!!).
Now the NBA season is around the corner, so there are no more excuses and no time to slack. I've got to bring my "A" blog-reading game. I am using the last few days of the blog-reading preseason as a full dress rehearsal for the 2005-2006 blog reading season.
I plan on using the next couple of days to read at a fast pace, a slow pace, back-to-back articles (because those are a killer on the knees), and transitions between paragraphs. Much like Pop's rotation, I am tinkering with some alternate reading approaches like the bottom-up, the right-to-left, the every other word, and even the pig latin conversion just in case the situation is called upon.
I want you to know that I am committed to the season. Defending the title is more difficult than winning it, so I promise step-up as I continue to be highly critical, relatively irrational, grossly exaggerated, and sometimes even braindead. I wish you luck on the journey.
Your loyal reader,
- da blade
P.S (I am writing this with my left eye closed....just switched eyes seamlessly...solid start, but could have been faster, focus time is off a fraction).
P.P.S - Tell daWife I found the code....and have no clue what the hell it means. She'll have to call.

This is the kind of commitment we need people! Dedication, perseverance, heart and rampant irrationality heavily syruped with sarcasm!
WHERE MY DAWGS AT?!?!?!?

Check out Bill Simmons' Page 2 Today: Eli has All-Pro stats and an extra something that can't really be defined. You just know it when you see it. Jeter has it. Brady and Big Papi have it. Favre still has it from time to time. I think David Wright has it in him. So does Ginobili.
Right on.

BTW most calculations indicate that the Spurs are already above the luxury tax threshold by around 1 million or so.
