I have absoulutely no problem with arcrylic whatsoever. Sometimes it's the best choice.
I bought the new vouge knitting on Saturday and am really loveing that little short sleeve top, too! go for it!

I don't mind using acrylic yarns either. It's more cost effective! I made the Honeymoon Cami on Knitty from 1 1/2 balls of microspun and it turned out very well. I think the shrug would be super cute.

Ooooh, I like me some acrylic, too, the Patons Divine is so fluffy and soft and fun! It's very smooshy, and one ball gets you a killer fluffy scarf.
I, too, admit my yarn ho ways. But I'm too poor to be a real yarn snob. Maybe I'll aspire to be a yarn snob one day. Everyone needs a goal, right?
