Gravatar Thanks for the mention Anjali. I'm glad you liked the rasam. To make it more authentic south india, you can had a couple tablespoons of toor daal to the above mixture and pressure cook it for 1-2 whistles and your Paruppu (Daal) Rasam is ready.
