So Sensenbrenner Jr. and Gonzales are not supposed to pursue criminal cases if the suspects are lawmakers? Hunh? They are above the rest of us... out of the loop, so to speak? Incapable of breaking the law?
Sheesh... you just have to wonder.
Lawmakers are as a group are the memes. Look at how much it cost to run a campain and how much they make . They are there for what they can get, not what we want.
Its time to clean the house and sweep the floors. I am sick of this crap of the PACs buying what they want. Jefferson is the rule not the exception.
Gayle, no wondering about it....they feel they are above the law and how dare someone question that or investigate them. Who knows....what the FBI would find if they went thru some of their offices. I guess now it is the new Fort Knox.
Patty, They set their own salaries, privileges, and make laws to suit themselves. How much better can that get? Cleaning house would be a good start....then hose it down.
You misunderstand what the activites by the FBI mean...had they allowed a attorney to be present, had they allowed a representative be present at the very least during the search, then the balance of powers may not be in question. But they refused any legal representation to be present during their raid...why?
If this was to occur in your home or mine, we would have the legal right to be present or have legal representation present.
There is no doubt in my mind that there are many politicians that have something to hide from the top to the bottom but the big question here is why go against over 200 years of tradition just to get this guy? I think it goes deeper than we know. The raid seriously puts the balance of powers in danger.
