Texas has its own Futile Care Law, signed by George W. Bush. six-month-old Sun Hudson was allowed to die against his family's wishes because the state didn't want to pay for his care. Spiro Nikolouzos narrowly missed the same fate, but his family located a nursing facility willing to care for him when the state would no longer pay for his care.
