Gravatar Jr and I love the robot. We dancin. Great dress and pictures in flickr. Hope the drink doesn't make you blue...

Gravatar That idol video was insane.

Gravatar Can't. Stop. Watching. Robot.
Also, Wood dancing pictures? Awesome.

Gravatar Wood, you do the best butt bumps I've ever seen.

The idol video is fantastic.

Gravatar I kept expecting Carl the Dog to show up in the idol video.

Gravatar Why are robots so strangely compelling? I would insert a paragraph about the history of automaton and Freud's theory of the uncanny here, but I'm afraid that I am way too drunk to pull it off.

Also, that Spoon song is so, so rock. It sounds just like being a stalker would feel, I think. Funky falsetto anxiety. On mixes, I like to bump it up against Wilco's "Kamera" and R.E.M.'s "Camera" just because I am a totally dorky Caucasian.

Gravatar mesmerized. can barely comment. again KEEPON AGAIN!

Gravatar p.s. what Spoon song is that? It makes me want to shake what is left of my groove thang.

Gravatar JenB: "I turn my camera on"

Atticus LOVED dancing along with the robot and I can't get enough of Idol. Thanks so much for posting these.

Gravatar That robot looks like a dancing marshmallow Peep!

I can't get the other one to work. :-(

Gravatar The blob has way more moves than I do.

Gravatar Eap, after watching the first video with my daughter, and the innocent start of the second one, I have to say it started to creep us both the fuck out. Ack.

Gravatar Can't get the second one to work either.
While little peep is absolutely grooving his Mr Hanky thing, and I love the Spoon song, I was vaguely disturbed by the notes below the thingie, about how this thing is being developed in order to provide interactive and attentional feedback to children. Stuff like that makes me think someone is going to get this thing so they can ignore their children even MORE. THAT is creepy.

Gravatar Laura Balance from Merge (and Superchunk ... sigh!! swoon!!) sends you links? Wow -- wow... Fame has hit!

Gravatar those videos are both awesome. definitely not what I was expecting from my morning blog reading

Gravatar I can't help but be reminded of the 'slime' in Ghostbusters II and how the guys got the Statue of Liberty to walk through the city by spraying slime all over her insides and playing 'Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher.'

(That would be by the robot...not by the pictures of you, Wood.)

Gravatar love the dancebot! i would dance with him all day! (so much more fun than work...)

Gravatar i love those pix of you dancin- and am so envious that you guys had such a cool venue to attend! i would like an excuse to drink frozen blue drinks! love the dress and the shoes, looove the conversation with your liver- i've had a few of those myself, more along the lines of a slurred "you're embarrassing your irish ancestors, damnit, now get back to work!!"

btw, my husband would be a dead man if he ever took a picture of me at the end of a night like that (although they are few and far between at this point). kudos to your restraint and good nature.

Gravatar The rabbit idol is by far the best cartoon I have ever seen in my life. ever.

Gravatar The dancing robot reminds me of the dancing Coca Cola Can, except the robot is cuter and the song is way better.
